The sources added that Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf, founding president Imran Khan, has been summoned again, despite appearing before Jit on March 19.

The investigation is carried out under the 2016 Electronic Crimes Prevention Law. The JIT was formed by the Federal Government and is headed by the Islamabad police chief.

Aleem Khan appeared for the last time before JIT on Wednesday as part of an investigation into alleged “malicious campaigns in social networks” aimed at inciting riots in the country.

According to local media reports, Aleema Khan was interrogated for more than two hours for the JIT.

The researchers questioned her regarding the social media account of Imran Khan, the sources added.

During the session, according to the reports, Aleema Khan informed the JIT that his brother’s social media account is managed from abroad and has no knowledge of his operations.

She argued that the account is used only to promote the official PTI posture, the sources said.
