The former NFL star Joe Theisman will enter the 2025 championship as one of the veterans in the celebrity golf tournament.

Although former Washington Redskins Campo Marshal only won the Korbel Hole-in-one contest at the Edgewood Tahe Golf Club, he told Pak Gazette Digital that he is as excited as ever to be part of the tournament once again this year.

“I have played in 35 of 36 (tournaments),” he said. “I certainly surround those days. The American Century Championship has been incredible in regard to competition, the people with whom you have the opportunity to be close.”

Theisman also highlighted the charity component of the American championship of the century. Millions of dollars are collected during the festivities to benefit the Stowers Medical Research Institute and the EAT. Learn. Play. Base.

“American Century gives a great week for their customers and for all of us. They have karaoke nights, and have excellent dinners in which you have the opportunity to interact and see people you really haven’t seen,” Theisman said. “My wife and I really expect it. You learn a lot.”

He said he had to talk to Buffalo Bills’s star, Josh Allen, about his 2023 season last year and loved to talk to actor Miles Teller.

“‘Top Gun: Maverick’ is one of my favorite films in the world. So, I had the opportunity to see him last year. It was like a little boy,” he said with a smile. “I was in the range hitting balls. I didn’t want to bother him, but wanted to greet.”

Theisman was not ashamed to admit that it was a bit “fanboy” when it came to Teller.

“I’m not ashamed,” Digital’s Pak Gazette told Fox. “There are certain people that I have met. I have been blessed to meet people, be they heads of state, heads of countries, many presidents, CEO, some of the most incredible people in the world that I have had the opportunity to know and be able to continue looking at people and see them and really know how they are, what makes them work. It is what I enjoy, to meet the person.”

Theisman was tied with Joe Flacco and Jason Scheff last year and tied in 46th position with AJ Hawk and Seth Curry in 2023.

This year, he expects an improvement, although he admitted that his game is becoming shorter and more as the years go by.

Theismann said that fans can also participate in the action with a fantasy game that took place for the tournament. He said that fans can begin to register next week with the winner obtaining two tickets for next year’s tournament and a $ 10,000 check to the beneficial organization of their choice.

The event is a 54 holes Stableford format in which the golfers won points for each hole depending on the score along. The golfer who achieves the greatest number of points wins.

The tournament begins on July 9 and extends until July 13.
