Joel Edgerton admits being inspired by Michael Keaton growing up

Joel Edgerton has spoken about his deep love and respect for the Ordinance legend Michael Keaton.

The 51-year-old recently starred in an American period drama film called dream train so he has been receiving a lot of recognition and support from his fans and other celebrities.

In his last appearance in Jimmy Kimmel live, Joel admitted to being Michael’s biggest fan.

Additionally, he revealed how honored he was when he received a special email from the veteran after Dream train.

During the chat with Kimmel, Edgerton opened up: “We’ve been loving Train Dreams recently, Michael Keaton, and he hosted an event for us recently and reached out.”

He spoke of receiving a personal email from the 74-year-old actor, who had nothing but great appreciation for the film. It made him feel really, really good.

Joel confessed: “I don’t know if he realizes how important he was to me when I was a kid, I saw him in all the movies and you know Beetlejuice and Batman, etc.”

The Australian actor hopes that Michael, with this interview, discovers the deep love he feels for the legend.

Directed by Clint Bentley, dream train features Jeol alongside Felicity Jones, Kerry Condon, Will Paton and William H. Macy.
