John Legend recently discussed his former mentor Kanye West.

Recently, John had a confessional with The timesin which he recalled what Kanye West was before his fall.

He began by saying: “At that time, Kanye was very passionate, very talented, and had great dreams not only for himself but also for all the people around him.”

“I had so much optimism, so much creativity. He feels sad, sometimes shocking, seeing where he is now,” added the singer.

In addition to this, John Legend approached that the antisemy comments and anti -Semitic comments of his former friend could be the result of his worsening of mental state.

“I did not see an indication of what we are seeing now, its obsessions with anti-Semitism, anti-niƱez, and it is sad to see its return,” he also said.

Conclusively, John Legend admitted that he witnessed “definitely a difference” in the mental state of the rapper after the death of his mother Donda West in 2007.

“I do not think we are qualified to psychoanalyze it, but after his mother died in 2007 there was definitely a difference,” he said and commented in conclusion, “his descent began then and seems to have recently accelerated.”
