ISLAMABAD:
The government has decided to convene a joint session of Parliament on January 21, with an intense legislative agenda that includes the approval of 29 bills.
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has sent a formal summary to the president seeking approval to convene the joint session, which is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
According to officials, a total of 29 bills will be considered for passage in the joint session, including 18 private members’ bills and 11 government bills. Of those, 24 bills had previously been returned without presidential approval.
