Jon Gruden has remained out of the NFL since his time with the Raiders of Las Vegas reached an end of an filtered email scandal.
However, Gruden has been seen around the lateral lines of the NFL in recent years, even Monday when he was seen visiting the Detroit Lions. He expressed some optimism that he would train again in the league soon.

“I hope it is not over,” Gruden told reporters, through Detroit Free Press. “I am about to return. I am working hard to have one more opportunity, but I hope that some of these types that fell from my branch, if you say it that way, maybe they can hire me because I am looking for a job.
“I don’t care if I train in Jones Junior High,” he added. “I’m going to train again. I’m still training. I’m not officially in a team, but I have some private tasks in which I work, and I use some equipment when I am looking at the games that nobody knows about who I am throwing.”

Gruden separated from the Raiders during the 2021 season after emails with racist, homophobic and misogynist language in multiple reports.
