What is the new Apple TV movie, Outcome, about?
Until now we know Result It looks like a bright and sunny clock, has great talent associated with the project and its premiere is scheduled for April 10, but what is the black comedy about?
In Hill’s own words, Result is about “the world’s biggest movie star, Reef Hawk, who hides dark secrets about his life that would ruin his perfect career.” He told reporters at an Apple TV event that “when a video threatens to leak, exposing these secrets, Reef’s crazy lawyer Ira, played by me,” goes into crisis management mode.
You can probably already guess who plays the beloved Hollywood star the movie focuses on. Of course, Reeves is Reef, who ends up going on a journey of introspection to make amends to anyone he’s wronged in hopes of unmasking who the blackmailer is.
It is this part of the film’s plot that makes it most dramatic, as the official synopsis says that Reef dives into the depths of his “hidden demons” to prevent the mysterious video from ruining his career and shattering his public image.
Diaz, who plays Reef’s lifelong friend Kyle, said “the journey to find out who is blackmailing him” sets the stage for a spiritual cleansing journey into nostalgia. “The encounters turn out to be profound, insightful and, of course, hilarious,” he said.
From what the cast has shared, the emotional core of the film addresses some important themes related to vanity, self-love, and technology. “The movie uses fame as a metaphor for what we all go through living on social media. Social media has made us obsessed with what people we don’t know think about us, instead of worrying about what people who care about us think about us,” Hill said.
