The New York Knicks star, Josh Hart, was expelled from the first preseason game of the team against the 76ers of Philadelphia in Abu Dhabi and suffered an injury in the process.
Hart, as he usually does, was fighting for a rebound in the second quarter when he left the ball and tried to climb to the court. However, the 76ers guard, Kennedy Chandler, prevented his path, and Hart hit the tough wood with a clear pain.
The work was live even though Hart fell, and Chandler did the right thing to take off the ball of his hands. He forced a jump ball, but Hart was clearly frustrated by the situation and decided to throw the ball on the court and enter the stands.

Hart finally left the court, walking cautiously as he favors his low back. He went to the costumes to be evaluated, but did not return.
It was not due to the injury, but to a technical foul and an expulsion to throw the ball after the play.

Hart finished the game with only two points, three rebounds and an assistance for seven minutes.
The veteran Knicks star is known for its resistance, playing in 77 regular seasonal games last season, while averaging 37:37 minutes per game under Tom Thibodeau. Its total minute led the NBA.

With Thibodeau relieved his duties, Hart left the bank for the new chief coach Mike Brown on Thursday. Brown chose to start his two great men, Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson, to start the game before Hart entered.
Hart had a race year with his great minutes for the Knicks during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 13.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.5 robberies per game. He also fired 52.5% from the field.

It will be interesting to see how Brown displays these Knicks since Thibodeau requests more than minutes than usual for their headlines, including Towns, Jalen Brunson and Og Anunoby.
