“I congratulate you on your success, young man,” Jones-Turpin said. “Keep your heads up. You guys have had a great season. You did a great job today. Just keep your heads up, okay? Ladies and gentlemen, Duval. Keep up the good work, we’ve got another season.”

The 19-second clip made the rounds on social media and sparked some outrage among journalists, while others didn’t seem to care as much.

Reporters argued that those covering the game only have a limited amount of time to ask questions of coaches and players and that others should not show their fandom too much. Meanwhile, some fans argued that members of the media should not take themselves too seriously and that the line between reporter and fan had been crossed too many times before.

The Jaguars came up short against the Bills, losing 27-24. Jacksonville was only three points down going into the half, but wasted a chance to put at least three points on the board in the red zone and Cam Little missed a crucial kick just before halftime.

Jacksonville’s defense also had no answer for Josh Allen on the field. Allen had two rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown to Dalton Kincaid.
