Islamabad:
In a moving goodwill exhibition, a Chinese company brought joy and hope to disadvantaged children by donating essential supplies to an Islamabad orphanage, marking a special celebration of the International Children’s Day.
The Pakistan branch of the State Engineering Corporation of China State Limited (CSCEC) extended a hand to the hand of Chinese-Pakistan Islamabad and heals the home (ICOSH), giving articles worthy of RS2 million, including school supplies, daily needs, sports equipment and appliances.
The aim of improving living conditions and educational opportunities for children in the facilities.
Established in 2023 by the Beijing One Heart Sphere Charity Foundation and the Chinese-Pakistan Youth Exchange Community (CPJEC), ICOSH initially focused on helping critical Pakistani patients seeking medical treatment in the capital.
Over time, it has expanded to a shelter for disabled and serious children, while providing full time for 21 orphans, Gwadar Pro reported on Tuesday. Since its inception on May 28, 2023, Icosh has supported more than 130 orphans and children suffering from serious diseases. The last contribution of the Chinese company underlines the depth of friendship between China and Pakistan, reflecting the spirit of shared compassion and mutual support.
The donation ceremony was attended by Yang Guangyuan, Minister Minister of the Chinese embassy in Pakistan, who extended the warm greetings of the Children’s Day to the young residents.
“It is an honor to participate in this significant initiative,” said Yang. “We hope that this event marks a new chapter to deepen the humanitarian cooperation of China-Pakistan and inspires more social forces to contribute to this noble cause.” When heading to the event, Wang Yaodong, CEO of CSCEC Pakistan, highlighted the company’s long data commitment to social responsibility together with the development of infrastructure.
ICOSH’s children also celebrated Children’s Day with special activities, enjoying games and performances in a festive atmosphere.
