The Judge of the Supreme Court, Ayesha Malik, has challenged herself to listen to a constitutional case on the legality of Section 221-A of the Customs Law, asking questions about her future deliberations.

During the hearing, the Constitutional Bank of eight members, led by Judge Aminuddin Khan, met to address the appeals on the constitutional validity of the provision of the Customs Law, said Express News.

Judge Aminuddin Khan said that the court would address the matter promptly, declaring: “We will hear this case tomorrow.”

The case revolves around section 221-A of the Customs Law, a controversial provision under scrutiny for its constitutional position.

The Court’s decision on the matter could have significant implications for customs and administrative practices in Pakistan.

Judge Malik’s challenge adds another layer of complexity to the case, with his reasons to remove still to reveal. The audience will resume with a reconfigured bank in the next few days.
