Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) spokesman has strongly criticized the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government for a letter about a security threat to the head of the Maulana Fazlur Rehman party.

According to Jui-F spokesman, Aslam Ghauri, the KP government letter regarding the security threat for Mauna Fazlur Rehman is alarming.

He urged the government to fulfill their responsibilities instead of spreading fear and panic. He also said that after the successful Paz Jirga in Peshawar, the KP government has become anxious.

“The Government must clarify what measures have been taken to guarantee the security of Chief JUI-F. If you cannot fulfill your responsibility, you must admit their failure. Jui workers know how to protect their leadership,” said Asm Ghauri.

The spokesman also declared that every attempt to distance the party and his leadership of the people would be counteracted. He accused the government of instilling fear among the public by issuing such statements after political meetings.

He stressed that the government is responsible for guaranteeing the security of Maulana Fazlur Rehman and all other citizens. “Our call to peace and stability should not be confused with weakness,” he said, demanding that the Government guarantee the security of Jui-F leadership.

Previously, the police issued a security threat warning by the Mulana Fazlur police, citing potential risks for their life.

According to the letter, Fazlur Rehman has been alerted to security concerns in KP, where terrorists can attack him due to their religious and political activities.

The sources indicate that Di Khan police have advised Fazlur Rehman and his party to restrict their movements and guarantee strict security measures.

Police have urged Fazlur Rehman to take precautionary measures and immediately inform the relevant authorities of any unusual activity.
