ISLAMABAD:

The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Thursday responded to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, calling him a failed politician, who conveniently lied on television screen to stay relevant in the political scene. scene.

In a strong statement, JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghori said Gandapur’s real role was nothing more than a pawn planted to create discord among the opposition. He added that Gandapur was a source of shame for the founder of his own party.

Earlier in the day, while speaking to reporters after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) delegation’s talks with the government in Islamabad, Gandapur came down heavily on JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, saying that the head of JUI-F was much smaller in stature. than Imran Khan.

Referring to Fazl’s electoral fraud allegations, Gandapur said the JUI-F chief had been misled. “You have definitely been deceived; the promises made to you were not fulfilled. Name those who have deceived you and do not talk about us,” Gandapur said.

Responding to the prime minister’s harsh comments, the JUI-F spokesperson said in a statement that Fazl had not been fooled, rather the PTI founder was fooled. Ghori warned that Gandapur had been tasked with dividing the opposition, which he boasted about on television.

“Pawns like Ali Amin Gandapur are being used to divide the opposition. Ali Amin regularly apologizes to the establishment in closed rooms and when he comes out, he starts boasting,” the spokesperson said. He added that under Gandapur, corruption and looting of government resources were widespread in KP.

The spokesperson mocked the KP chief minister for his escape from the PTI protest in Islamabad on November 26 following a government crackdown. “The person who left the workers alone at D Chowk and ran away can no longer talk about political ethics,” the spokesperson said.
