
Julia Roberts recently revealed how stay by my side significantly inspired his daughter Hazel Moder.
For those who don’t know, stay by my sideA coming-of-age film, it revolves around a group of friends who embark on a mission to search for a dead body. The film, directed by Rob Reiner, starred Corey Feldman, Wil Wheaton, Jerry O’Connell and River Phoenix.
The 57-year-old Hollywood actress gave an interview to The New York Times to promote his recently released film, After the Hunt, where he recalled the 1986 classic. stay by my side, sharing how it changed her daughter, Hazel, when she was younger.
Julia, who shares twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 20, and son Henry Daniel, 18, with husband Danny Moder, said: “I think people don’t realize how much they miss talking.”
She recalled: “For some reason, this morning I was thinking about when my kids were little and we showed them Stand by Me, and our daughter said, ‘I’m going to give you my phone.’ And I said, ‘Okay. What do you want me to do with it?'”
In response to his question, Hazel joked: “Keep it. I don’t want it.”
“Watching that movie, I thought if those kids had phones, they wouldn’t talk to each other like that. They wouldn’t have gone looking for that body, they wouldn’t have sat around the fire and shared these stories,” he said. Mona Lisa’s smile explained the star’s daughter.
Julia went on to claim that Hazel “could see how she was getting in the way of things.”
“I mean, we love talking to each other and sometimes we forget how important it is,” said the Academy winner.
