Julie Chrisley’s 28 months in prison have apparently damaged their health.

Julie and her husband, Todd, were released from prison in May after President Trump forgave them. The couple was serving long convictions after being convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion charges.

Now, they are opening on their penitentiary experience in their podcast Chrisley Confessions 2.0.

During the episode of July 30 of the Podcast, Julie said: “Listen, I have a lung condition of being in prison. You will probably notice at certain times, trying to breathe.”

Julie joined her husband in the podcast the couple said that the lung condition was caused by poor prison conditions, which was supposedly loaded with black and asbesto mold.

“That is something we have to address right now,” Todd told the listeners. “This week, you have an appointment with the doctor with a pulmonary specialist who will do some tests.”

The couple also said they could not speak on the phone during their time in prison.

Julie said they only sent an email, which was also “sporadic at best.”

“We could not talk everything. There is something in prison that if married couples are imprisoned, both guardians have to approve to receive a phone call per month,” he shared. “My director approved it, your warden no.”

Todd said that its director was “caught as corrupt behavior” and was punishing it because his daughter, Savannah, was revealing everything about the conditions of the prison and the abuse he received during his time.
