The twins denounce the fatal shooting in the Catholic Church of Minnesota as an ‘incomprehensible’ attack

“Our thoughts and the deepest sympathies are with victims, their families and all whose lives have changed forever for this act of meaningless violence.

“As members of this community, we are together in the duel. No child should feel insecure in a place of learning or worship, and no family must withstand such unimaginable loss. Together with all minnesotanos, we cry this tragic loss and extend strength and compassion to all affected.”

The MLB Minnesota Twins, the NFL and Minnesota Lynx Minnesota Vikings of the WNBA also shared similar statements after watching the news.

The Minneapolis police chief Brian O’Hara detailed the horrible act of violence of the gunman, when he approached the church and began to “shoot a rifle through the church windows towards the children sitting in the banks.

“Shooting through the windows, he hit children and worshipers who were inside the building,” O’Hara said. “The shooter was armed with a rifle, a shotgun and a gun. This was a deliberate act of violence against innocent children and other people who worship. Pure cruelty and cowardice to shoot a church full of children is absolutely incomprehensible.”

The gunman has probably died of a self -inflicted gunshot wound.

Several children who were injured were treated at the Hennepin County Medical Center. Tom Wyatt, president of the Department of Emergency Medicine of Hennepin Healthcare, confirmed that four of these patients required surgery.
