Justin Rose came out of almost nothing to finish the second place of Rory Mcilroy in the Masters on Sunday.
Rose fired a 66 of the final round to force a playoff against Mcilroy. He lost to Mcilroy after missing a 15 -foot putt. He left the strong door with a first round, but it was 75 in the third round that forced him to climb uphill in the final round.

It was the third time that Rose had ended in second place or tied secondly at the Masters. It was the second second consecutive position in general, since it was runner -up in the Open Championship last year.
“The last two specialties that I have played, I have finished in second place, and it is more evidence that I am doing a really good job,” he said, through the BBC. “In Royal Troon and again here in The Masters, when he arrives at Real Business End, I feel that I am really calm and ready for it, what I am proud again but it hurts.”
In 2017, Rose lost to Sergio GarcĂa in a playoff. He forced this year’s playoff with a 20 -foot Birdie in hole 18.

He joined Ben Hogan as the only players to lose twice in the playoffs in Augusta National. Hogan won the masters twice.
“It is the type of putt with which you dream of child, and to have it and guide it, it was a special feeling,” Rose said. “And unfortunately, the playoff, they always end so fast. If you are not the guy who hits the great shot or the hole, the great putt, it ends. But in reality it is not really something that could have done more today.”
