President Donald Trump is the host of the popular Italian football club Juventus FC in the White House on Wednesday, since the team is in the United States for the Club World Cup.

During the visit, while the players were behind Trump’s desk at the Oval office, Trump addressed the issue of transgender athletes in women’s sports during a long peroreta about former President Joe Biden.

“He was never in favor of the open border, and you would think that it was never transgender for everyone, or men who played in women’s sports,” Trump said.

The president turned to face Juventus players and raised a question.

“Could a woman make your team, friends?” asked.

All players exchanged looks, but none gave an answer.

Then, the president went to face the general manager of the team, Damien Comolli, and raises the same question.

“We have a very good female team,” said Comolli.

But Trump pressed Comolli, repeating the question, “but should they be playing with women?”

Comolli did not offer an answer that time.

“Look, they are very diplomatic,” Trump mocked.

How the transgender in sports changed the 2024 elections and lit a national counterculture

Trump has made the combination of trans athletes in feminine and girls sports a key pillar of the agenda of its second administration.

Trump signed the executive order to “keep men out of women’s sports” on February 5 after campaigning to a large extent on the subject in 2024. The order led the NCAA to change their gender eligibility policy to allow biological women to compete in the women’s category.

However, Trump’s executive order has received firm resistance for democratic state leaders throughout the country.

The Trump administration is already involved in a lawsuit against Maine, and has been sued by Minnesota Keith Ellison attorney on the subject as well. The federal investigations of Title IX have also opened to the Secondary Sports Leagues of California and Massachusetts.

A New York Times/Ipsos survey found that the vast majority of Americans, including most Democrats, do not believe that transgender athletes are allowed to compete in women’s sports.

Of the 2,128 people who participated, 79% said that biological men who identify as women should not be allowed to participate in women’s sports. Of the 1,025 people who identified themselves as Democrats or inclined Democrats, 67% said that transgender athletes should not be able to compete with women. Between 1,022 Republicans, that number was 94%.
