Karachi Traffic Police has announced a diversion plan to manage the traffic flow of the Youm-e-Ali (RA) procession, which will begin at 4 pm.
The procession, which will begin at Central Tibet and end at the Soldier’s Bazaar, will lead to road closures in several key areas.
MA Jinnah Road will be blocked from Tibet Center to Guru Mandir, along with adjacent roads.
Shahrah-e-Qaideen will also be closed from the Khudadad signal, although the bridge from Khudadad to Saddar will remain open.
Motorists using Bahadur Yar Jang Road towards Tower are advised to take alternative routes via Soldier Bazar No 1 sign, Coast Guard and Anklesaria Hospital sign.
Those traveling from Shahrah-e-Qaideen to Naumaish Chowrangi or MA Jinnah Road should detour via Ayesha Aziz Chowrangi to PP Chowrangi, and commuters from Society Light Signal should follow the route from Khudadad Colony Bridge to Empress Market.
For those traveling from Fresco to Naumaish Chowrangi, the Eidgah Chowk route via Jubilee and Nishtar Road is recommended, or alternatively, from Tibet Center to Regal Chowk.
Also, traffic from Fawara Chowk to Garden Nishtar Road should continue towards Abdullah Haroon Road.
From Paradise Signal, drivers can go left to Passport Office or right to Empress Market.
For those traveling from Garden Baghicha to Aga Khan III Highway, the suggested route is via Anklesaria to Gul Plaza and Tibet Chowk.
