Karachi girls shine in the robotic Olympiad


Karachi:

Three Karachi young people have won the highest honors in the World Robotics Olympiad (Wro) 2025 Sindh Nationals, ensuring their place in the global finals of the World Olympiad of Robotics in Singapore in November.

The team, known as “Powerpuff” innovators, consists of three students of Grade VIII: Emaan Zehra, Anaya Anas and Ayra Rizvi, all from 12 to 13 years.

Compeating in the category of future innovative Junior, they not only secured first place in the Nationals of Sindh, but also won the Girls In Stem award. At the national level, they were located second in general between 51 Punjab and Sindh teams. The PowerPuff innovative team of Hoque Academy has designed a Financial Management and Financial Education Robot with AI that uses a smart camera system to guide users to make better purchase decisions, promote financial discipline and consciousness.

The World Robotics (Wro) Olympiad is a prestigious international robotics competition that inspires creativity, innovation and Stem skills among young students around the world. This year’s theme, “The Future of Robots”, challenges participants to design and build robotic solutions to real world problems.

Representing Pakistan on the global stage, the innovators Powerpuff will be the only team of Pakistan to compete in Wro Global 2025. His trip is an example of how Stem education is promoting the next generation of Pakistani girls to lead with innovation and trust.
