Previously, Tsunami’s first warning center in Karachi confirmed that there have been a total of 19 minor tremors since Sunday night, an unprecedented event in the history of the city.
The strongest earthquake was recorded in 3.6 magnitude, while the weakest was measured at 2.1.
Experts attribute the unusual seismic pattern to changes in tectonic plates under the region. It is believed that tremors are the result of the release of accumulated energy due to the low -ground low intensity seismic movement.
The authorities continue to monitor the situation, while urging the public to remain calm and follow the security guidelines.
