Karachi has been put on high alert amid the Pakistan Army’s ‘Operation Ghazab Lil Haq’ against the Afghan Taliban, with police issuing a detailed public safety advisory on Saturday.

The advisory urges citizens to remain vigilant and updated through official announcements issued by police, law enforcement agencies and provincial authorities. The public has been asked to immediately report any suspicious activity, unusual movement, unattended items or suspicious people in sensitive locations to Madadgar 15.
Citizens have been ordered to strictly comply with the instructions issued by the police and cooperate fully during rapid inspections, search operations and at security checks.
Police also warned against spreading unverified information on social media, adding that recent false reports about certain shopping centers and areas had caused unnecessary panic. Citizens were advised to rely only on official statements issued by the Sindh Police, local administration or government press briefings.
Travelers have been advised to leave their homes at least an hour earlier than usual when heading to the airport and other key locations. To reduce congestion, only one person will be allowed to accompany a passenger at designated airport drop-off and pick-up points.
