A video showing a domestic worker being brutally assaulted on the stairs of a residential building in the Buffer Zone has gone viral on social media, prompting police action. The images show a man physically attacking the woman, while another woman accompanying him is seen trying to stop the attack.
According to the police, the incident took place on December 11, while a case has now been registered at Gabol City Police Station following the complaint of the victim, Yasmeen. SHO Gabol Town Rao Khalid said the FIR was lodged after the victim approached the police after receiving medical treatment.
In her statement, Yasmeen said that she had been employed for cleaning work in House No. R-530, Sector 15-B, Buffer Zone. She said that on December 10, a minor verbal dispute occurred between her and Shamsa, Nauman’s wife, during work hours.

The next day, December 11, as Yasmeen was going downstairs to leave around 4:30 pm, Nauman arrived and began hitting her, verbally abusing her and pushing her down the stairs. He said that neighbors in the area intervened and managed to rescue her. As a result of the assault, he suffered internal injuries to his face and body.
After receiving medical treatment, Yasmeen filed a complaint, following which the police registered FIR No. 217/2025 against Nauman under sections 504, 354 and 337-A (i) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The case has been handed over to the investigation wing for further action.
SHO Rao Khalid said police conducted multiple raids at the suspect’s residence, but the accused locked the house and fled. Efforts are underway to track and arrest the suspect.
