To address the worsening of Karachi’s traffic congestion before Eidul Fitr, the Karachi Traffic Police have introduced a new traffic plan for overgrowth in the key markets.

The new measures prohibit that taxis and rickshaws, including guard services, enter certain areas that already face heavy traffic.

Restrictions apply to various places occupied such as Teen Talwar, Tariq Road and Hyderi Market. Travelers are encouraged to use alternative routes such as Clifton Bridge, Race Course and Khaliq Uz Zaman Road.

In addition, the vehicles will be restricted on the roads that connect Saddar, Fawara Chowk, GPO, the singer Chowk, Zaibunnisa Street and Jama’s fabric to Eidgah Chowk.

In addition, traffic from the millennium area will be rediricized through the Millennium bridge to NIFUE, while commercial vehicles will deviate towards the owners of College and Landi Kotal ChowRangi.

The new traffic directives are part of a greater effort of the Traffic Police to administer the anticipated increase in buyers and vehicles before the holidays.

On the other hand, Eidul Fitr 2025 is expected to be held on March 31, and many anticipate a prolonged holiday period from March 29 to April 6.

The Ramadan ends with Eidul Fitr, which is determined by the shawwal crescent moon sighting. The Ruet-E-Hilal Research Council predicts that the crescent moon will be visible on March 30, which makes EID probable on March 31.

With EID falling on Monday, experts expect an official five -day holiday from March 29 to April 2, which could extend to nine days if Thursday and Friday also declare holidays.

However, the final dates depend on the official sighting of the Moon.
