Karachi is ready to witness a combination of climatic conditions in the next three days, with sun, fog and cloudy skies that are expected to be alternated, according to the Department of Meteorology of Pakistan.
Changing conditions mark the transition from winter to summer in the coastal city.
Sun, fog and clouds ahead
The early warning center has predicted clear skies and a strong sun for Saturday. However, for Sunday morning, FOG is expected to cover parts of the city, temporarily reducing visibility before giving way to the bright and clear climate later in the day.
On Monday, Karachi is likely to experience cloudy skies, bringing colder conditions compared to the previous days.
Wind patterns to change
According to the Met Office, Karachi will see different wind instructions in the next three days. Winds of the Northeast of Baluchistan are expected during the night and the first hours of the morning, while the Southwest Sea Breeze will dominate in the afternoon.
Residents are recommended to be prepared for sudden changes in temperature and visibility, especially during the early morning, when fog can affect traffic.
Dry climate throughout the country
In addition, the Department of Meteorology of Pakistan (PMD) predicts that the weather in Pakistan has dried once again, since the system that supports the rain that affected the majority of Punjab, including Lahore, has moved.
The country’s plains are now experiencing a dry spell, although the residual effects of recent rains and snowfall in the mountainous regions are still feeling.
In Lahore, today’s minimal temperature was recorded at 9 ° C, with a maximum of 23 ° C expected. It is forecast that the weather will remain cold and dry in most of the country, including the Federal Capital, Islamabad and its surroundings.
In Punjab, a dry spell is expected in most districts, with severe and partially clouded skies predicted to Murree, Garyat and neighboring areas.
In Sindh, the weather will remain dry in most districts, although some areas may experience partial cloud coverage. Similarly, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dry and cold weather is anticipated in most districts, with the higher regions experiencing a severe cold.
In Kachemira and Gilgit-Baltist, a cold and partially cloudy climate pattern is expected to persist. It is also expected that the regions of southern Baluchistan experience a dry and cold climate, and the areas of the north see severe cold conditions.
The dry climate will last throughout the weekend, with a continuous cold spell in the northern and central regions of the country.
