The absence of Prince William and Kate Middleton of the historic final of the Women’s Rugby World Cup in England against Canada on Saturday raised her eyebrows.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was one of the dignitaries who attended, traveling thousands of kilometers to support his national team.
In contrast, William and Kate, both well -known sport enthusiasts, remained remote.
According to the reports, William was in Scotland, while Kate remained at home despite serving as a pattern of the Rugby Football Union since 2022.
Instead, the couple offered their congratulations on Instagram.
“Congratulations to @redroserugby, the new Women’s Rugby World Cup champions!” They wrote, and added that Canada had an “outstanding tournament.”
Before the game, Kate had shared an encouraging message along with a photo of her with the team.
His absence, however, caused rapid criticism online. An X user wrote that the Non-Show “has a strong relief against the assistance of international figures,” and added that he highlighted the “selective approach to duty” of the reais.
The violent reaction, said some observers, reflected the type of online scrutiny faced by Meghan Markle.
