
Keira Knightley revealed one of her first films that still attracts the most attention from fans, even after more than two decades.
In a special screening of The woman in cabin 10 In London in early September, the 40-year-old actress revealed to People that Bend it like Beckham It remains the film for which she is most recognized.
“I think it’s amazing that a movie that was made almost 25 years ago is still one where if someone comes up to me, it’s about that movie,” he told the outlet.
“In particular, many girls play [soccer] now, and they want to reach out and talk about it,” Knightley shared.
Additionally, he gushed, “So it’s amazing to be a part of something that has kind of a legacy and that positivity around it.
The actress also reacted to the news about a Bend it like Beckham sequel, which writer-director Gurinder Chadha announced earlier this year.
Knightley admitted she was delighted with the update, but did not confirm whether she hopes to return as her character Jules.
“I saw it on television,” he said of the project. “So yeah, I mean, how exciting.”
When asked if he would reprise his role, Knightley simply replied: “I mean, when I saw it on TV I thought, ‘Oh, that’s cute, I wonder what it’s going to be.'”
