According to the reports, the 21 racing horses in the Kentucky derby of this year are descendants of the famous secretariat of racing horses, according to The Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky.
This year marks 52 years since the Secretariat won the triple crown in record times that are still standing today. Now, the horse’s legacy will be honored, no matter what horse wins.

The Secretariat begats more than 660 foals registered during the horse’s life.
The racing horse had an unusually large heart, according to Associated Press. Then he won the Derby, Preakness and Belmont in record times, and finished a 25 -year triple crown drought in 1973. He marked one of the most monumental moments in the history of horse racing.
The Secretariat won the Derby with a time of 1: 59.40, a record that has not yet been overcome.
Two weeks later, in Preakness Stakes, he won again with a time of 1:53, another record that is still standing today.
During Belmont’s bets, the horse swept the competition and won by 31 exceptional lengths. The Secretariat became the first winner of the Triple Crown since 1948, when Citation won the title.
