The famous Pakistani playwright Khalilur-Rehman qamar approached the Superior Court of Lahore on Tuesday to revoke the decision of a court of first instance in the case related to his kidnapping. Qamar presented an appeal against the acquittal of the accused, including AAMNA UROJ.
According to legal sources, the appeal was presented through the lawyer Mudassir Chaudhry, asking the Superior Court to annul the verdict of the Court of First Instance and guarantee the punishment for the accused of compliance with the law.
The petition said that the defendant had confessed the crimes before the police during the interrogation, but the Court of First Instance could not properly evaluate the facts and evidence presented.
He argued that the lower court ruling was defective and did not reflect the severity of crimes.
