Killed terrorist, martyred police in Lakki Marwat Clash

Lakki Marwat:

A fierce shooting battle in the Lakki Marwat Kot Cashmir area on Wednesday left three dead terrorists, including a key local militant commander, while a police officer embraced martyrdom in the fulfillment of duty.

According to a statement issued by Lakki Marwat police spokesman Shahid Marwat, “in fire exchange, three Khawarij, including a key local terrorist, commander Chhota Waseem Gundi Khankhel, were killed.”

The meeting exploded after the police received intelligence that a group of militants was moving from Gundi to Kot Cashmira.

Acting quickly in the directives of the Regional Police officer of Bannu, Sajad Khan, and the police officer of the Jawad Ishaq district, the Local Police, together with the members of the Peace Committee of the area, persecuted the suspects.

The militants were intercepted in Kot Cashmira, where they opened fire against the advanced police and the volunteers.

There was a strong exchange of shooting. A terrorist was neutralized in the spot, while two others retired in a nearby house, trying to use women and children inside as human shields, according to the statement.

“However, the police surrounded the house and continued the fight with great skill, which lasted two hours. At the same time, the police strategically took out women and children trapped in the house and continued the fight with the terrorists there and killed them,” the statement said.

In the middle of the crossfire, the police officer Shahidullah Gundi Khankhel suffered critical injuries. He was urgently taken to the district headquarters hospital, but succumbed to his wounds along the way.

“The Shahidullah Gundi Khankhel policeman was seriously injured and sent to the Hospital of the District headquarters, where martyrdom was hugged while succumbing to his wounds along the way,” confirmed the police statement.
