Islamabad:
King Charles of the United Kingdom expressed his deepest condolences to the people of Pakistan after the devastating floods of the monsoon and a tragic helicopter accident during rescue operations.
The King declared: “My wife and I have desperately saddened from the tragic loss of life and a generalized devastation … our thoughts and the deepest sympathy are with all those who have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods.”
Highlighting the strong ties between the two nations, the king added: “We are especially aware of the durable ties between our nations and the many families in the United Kingdom with close links with Pakistan.”
