
King Charles organized a reception at Buckingham Palace after the successful visit of Duchess Sophie in the United States for an important cause.
The royal family shared details of the American visit of Duchess Sophie in her official social media handles.
The statement says: “This week, the Duchess of Edinburgh was in New York to attend the 69th UN Commission on the state of women.
“The Duchess attended the meeting, the largest worldwide in gender equality, as an @iapb global ambassador and a UN defender, peace and security (WPS).”
In addition, he said: “In an opening speech at a group of Friends of Vision of the UN, its real highness highlighted the important connection between eye health and gender equality.”
The Duchess, as a sponsor of Plan International, also attended a meeting with the defenders of the youth of Lebanon, Ethiopia, Peru and Jordan who shared their experiences of living in conflict and crisis.
