King Charles was recently confronted by an antimonarquarchy state during his visit to the Newmarket with his wife Queen Camilla.
The King’s answer to the question has caused a mixed reaction on social networks, and his supporters praised him to remain calm in the face of an expected situation.
According to local media, the king and his wife met with members of the public on the main street when a man asked him: “Why did his family cost us half a billion pounds a year, Charles?”
The king, who was escorted by guards and assistants, simply nodded and said: “Ah, yes,” before moving to another group of people.
The protester continued: “Why do you only pay their gardeners the minimum wage?”
The video also shows his followers offering shouts of breath, including “You are my king!” And “God bless your majesty!” While Charles and Camilla shake hands.
When commenting on the clip, the Republic’s CEP said: “Many people are not happy with the way the real ones are financed. Most people think they cost too much.”
He added: “When so many people fight with the cost of living, knowing that we pay Charles £ 27 million of the ducat funds and that pays a minimum wage apart from his staff is too much to endure.”
Meanwhile, the activists belonging to the antimonarchy group, Republic, held banks registered with slogans “not my king” during the real couple’s visit.
