King Carlos III is praising the role of journalism for being the force of democracy.
His Majesty, who organized 400 guests of the United Kingdom journalism this week, admitted that they have a vital role to play in the economy.
He said at Buckingham Palace: “That role for its entire industry is now more important than ever.”
The 76 -year -old king added: “You will not always do it well. A free medium is one that makes mistakes.
“But at its best, it is a cornerstone of our democracy.”
He told attendees: “His report helps amplify and reaffirm the rights and responsibilities we all share.
“A light shines in the dark corners, exposing injustice.”
He added: “Above all, it helps strengthen our communities, in times of joy and in times of sadness.
“It is of interest to all that must succeed. Without a prosperous and financially robust regional environment, we would all be poorer,” said his majesty.
