King Charles has published a new message before the Final World Rugby World Cup on Saturday between England and Canada.
The palace, on behalf of King Charles, shared the monarch’s message on social networks.
The statement was published with subtitles, “A message from His Majesty The King to Red Roses Rugby and Rugby Canada Womens XV after the #RWC2025 final today.”
King Charles says: “My wife and I send our warmer wishes both to the women’s rugby team in England and Canada while preparing for your World Cup end.”
He added: “What a remarkable achievement for both teams to have reached this pinnacle of sport. I know that the followers on both sides of the Atlantic will be encouraging with an equal and tremendous pride.”
King Charles also talks about ‘sportsmanship, determination and true sand’ in his message.
“That the best team wins, and both play with the spirit of sportsmanship, determination and true determination that makes rugby such a wonderful game to see,” says the statement.
“Whatever the result, you have already made your countries proud. Good luck to all,” concluded King Charles the message.
The message of King Charles occurs in the midst of the monarch’s claims and Prince William held an unchanged crucial meeting in Balmoral.
