King Charles will spend a lonely Christmas without Queen Camilla

King Charles will have a lonely Christmas this year as his beloved wife, Queen Camilla, plans to spend part of the holiday with her own family.

according to Daily entertainmentThe queen consort will only join the king and other members of the royal family at Sandringham for Christmas Day celebrations, and will then depart to visit her side of the family in Wiltshire.

Additionally, Prince William and Kate Middleton will also return to Amner Hall to spend the rest of the day with their children, leaving Charles to spend the afternoon alone with friends, former royal butler Paul Burrell revealed.

“This division of Christmas is becoming more and more obvious,” Paul said. “Although Camilla will be at Sandringham, although she may turn up on the front steps of the church and walk back to the house and have Christmas lunch, as soon as lunch is over Camilla leaves.”

He added: “She is returning to Wiltshire to see her family who are not invited to Sandringham, she wants to see her grandchildren, children and their spouses.”

“For Camilla, like for many others, it is a divided Christmas,” he added.

Sharing how the King will spend the rest of the day, Burrell said: “The King will be alone with some friends on the afternoon of Christmas Day.”

“William and Kate will return to Amner Hall, return to their family unit and spend Christmas under their roof, not under the roof of Sandringham.

“They are becoming a completely modern royal family and doing things more like us.”
