KMC is repeated with drug addicts that steal iron bars, bridge railings

Karachi:

In response to multiple public complaints with respect to the growing incidents of theft of iron bars and bridges, public buildings, posts and boundary walls throughout the city, Mayor Murtaza Wahab directed an offensive throughout the city against drug addicts that occupy roads, sidewalks and other public spaces. He ordered drugs to drug addicts, who are in public spaces, who move safely to the headquarters of the city guards and then to rehabilitation centers. Spokesman Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Daniyal Siyal, revealed that guardian teams of the city dedicated in all districts have been deployed to ensure that the process is carried out safely, human and structured, with an approach in avoiding the repeated occupation of public areas.

The problem in question has appeared repeatedly in several high -level meetings presided by the mayor, especially in relation to the theft and damage of public infrastructure. KMC has already offered land for the development of large -scale rehabilitation centers as part of a long -term solution. However, in the mayor’s directives, the matter is also being taken as a high priority project.

Siyal declared: “These individuals not only damage the critical infrastructure through theft, but are also tearing the social fabric of our city.

For the sake of some rupees, they are putting the beauty, security and public property of Karachi at risk. “

Regarding this, KMC is still committed to restoring order in public spaces, preserving public assets and working towards the social reintegration of people affected through rehabilitation efforts.
