Konami has offered an idea of where Silent hill f is located in the general Silent hill series.
In a new publication shared in the Japanese Silent hill X / Twitter account, Konami clarified that the next horror game is an independent title in the Silent hill Timeline, suggesting that you will not have any connection with any previous game of the series (through IGN).
The study also confirmed that players will not need prior knowledge of the franchise and that even newcomers to the series may experience Silent hill f.
“This is a completely new work independent of the series,” said Konami (translated through X / Twitter). “Even those who have never played the ‘Silent Hill’ series can enjoy this game.”
Only a few games in the series, such as Silent hill, Silent hill 3and Silent Hill Origins, have a connection and Silent Hill 2 It offers some links to the first game, but both plots are not directly related.
While only some games take place in the starting city, Silent hill f It will significantly take place out of America, in the Japanese rural city of Ebisugaoka in the 1960s.

Konami revealed new details about the game in March, along with a new spooky trailer. The story will follow the teenager Shimizu Hinako, whose hometown isolated from ebisugaoka is wrapped in a sudden fog, transforming his home into a disturbing nightmare.
“As the city falls silent and the fog is thick, Hinako must navigate the twisted roads of Ebisugaoka, solving complex puzzles and confronting grotesque monsters to survive,” says the description of the game.
There is no launch date for Silent hill f Still, but we know that the horror game will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. And with Summer Game Fest around the corner in June, there are many possibilities of obtaining more details in the annual game event.
