In a statement that quickly won traction in social networks, the former president of the National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, asked the KP CM to prioritize governance, restore the law and order, and work to ensure the release of Imran Khan and other workers of imprisoned parties.
Qaiser’s comments occurred only a few hours after Gandapur said he was in conversations with the establishment personally.
“We reserve the right to respond to the KP cm statement, but we prefer to avoid such matters in the interest of the country and the founder of PTI Imran Khan,” Qaiser said on social networks.
“We must not endanger our struggle for the release of Imran Khan by participating in unnecessary discussions about the internal affairs of the party.”
Meanwhile, PTI Mna Shahram Khan Tarakai echoed similar concerns, urging the central leadership of the party to investigate Gandapur’s comments and present the Imran Khan position clearly before the public.
He stressed that PTI leaders should remain focused on ensuring the release of Khan and advocating other members of the party.
It is pertinent to observe that on Wednesday, as the cracks expanded within the best PTI ranges, Gandapur met with the founder of the party in Imran Khan party along with an assistant.
Later, the media reports suggested that Imran had advised Gandapur to participate again with the establishment, but strictly within the limits of the Constitution and the law.
However, on Thursday, KP’s government spokesman Barríster Muhammad Ali Saif rejected these reports, dismissing the claims that Imran had entrusted to him already Gandapur the task of negotiating with the establishment.
The clarification occurred in the midst of a burst of speculation in the main and social networks, where the reports suggested that during a recent meeting in the Adial prison, Imran had assigned the KP CM and Barrimer Saif to the conversations with a spear head with the establishment.
