The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced the help packages of Ramadan and EID for deserving families this year.
BarrĂster Saif, special assistant to the KP Information Minister, confirmed that, similar to the previous year, the provincial government will extend the package to support more than one million families throughout the province. Each eligible family will receive RS10,000 as part of the help effort.
The funds will be transferred through Banks and Easypaisa transparently before the 15 of Ramadan. The provincial government will cover the bank and disbursement charges to ensure that the total amount reaches the recipients.
Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has emphasized the importance of complete transparency in the distribution process. He also instructed that orphans, individuals affected by terrorism and members of the transgender community have priority when receiving the package.
Previously, the Space Research Commission and the upper atmosphere (Supparco) predicted that Ramadan 2025 will probably begin on March 2, depending on its visibility calculations of the moon.
According to a statement of Supparco, the new moon will occur at 5:45 pm, standard Pakistan (PST) on February 28, 2025, and the age of the Moon will be 12 hours at sunset that day. However, due to the low altitude and distance of the moon from the earth, it will be difficult to observe with the naked eye.
