Peshawar:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government will hold fiscal year 2025-26 on June 13.

The main minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, Greenled the summary sent by the Ministry of Finance and approved the date of presentation of the budget.

Instead of the Financial Advisor Muzamil Aslam, the Minister of Law AFTAB Alam will reveal the budget since Aslam is not a member of the Chamber. Alam had also presented the budget for the current financial year.

The sources said that the total disbursement of the KP budget for the next fiscal year is probably set at RS2,000 billion.

It is likely that around RS450 to RS500 billion will be assigned for development projects.

It is pertinent to mention that the total volume of the current fiscal year was set at RS1751 billion, with RS420 billion reserved for ADP. The KP government is preparing for a surplus budget of RS180 billion for the next prosecutor.

Interestingly, the KP government had broken the parliamentary tradition last year and presented a surplus budget for fiscal year 2024-25 in the Provincial Assembly, even before the announcement of the federal budget, an unprecedented movement in the history of the country.

The Minister of Finance, AFTAB Alam, announced the budget of RS1,754 billion for fiscal year 2024-25 [July-June]with a surplus of RS100 billion.
