KP urges the center to approve the Afghan Tors

Peshawar:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has urged the Federal Government to approve its proposed terms of reference (Tor) for negotiations with Afghanistan.

KP CM Advisor on information and public relations, Barrimer Dr. Saif emphasized that any additional delay in the approval of these tors should be avoided.

The lawyer Dr. Saif said that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government intends to send a delegation to Afghanistan urgently. He reaffirmed that guaranteeing the safety of the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa remained the main priority and responsibility of the government.

In addition, he criticized the federal government for politicizing such a crucial issue instead of focusing on anti -terrorist efforts in the province. The KP CM advisor pointed out that the federal government did not oppose the foreign visits of the main ministers of Punjab and Sindh.

Referring to previous diplomatic commitments, lawyer Dr. Saif questioned why Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government initiative to commit to Afghanistan on the issue of terrorism is being hindered when Maryam Nawaz can participate in a “smog diplomacy” with India. He warned that the federal government double ratings were deepening the sense of deprivation of the province.

He urged the Federal Government to stop treating Khyber Pakhtunkhwa unfairly, to affirm that the province is an integral part of Pakistan. He asked the federal authorities to address Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s complaints and provide the necessary support to combat terrorism effectively.
