The Lahore Traffic Police have completed preparations to guarantee traffic problems without traffic problems during the next TRI-Nation series, with more than 1,000 traffic officers who will deploy service.
In addition to the deployment of the officers, the police will also use 20 fork lifters and four breakdown vehicles to handle any incorrect parking instance and to clear the roads quickly, said Express News.
According to the director of Traffic (CTO) of Lahore, Dr. Athar Waheed, the spectators who attend Crick’s matches can park their vehicles in designated parking places, including areas around the Government University, Liberty, CBD near Center Point and Lda Plaza.
He assured the public that no road will close permanently during the event.
However, traffic can stop temporarily during the equipment’s exits, but the roads will be reopened immediately after the equipment has passed.
Dr. Waheed emphasized that the main roads, including Mall Road, Jail Road, Channel Road and Ferozepur Road, would remain open to traffic throughout the day.
The CTO also advised citizens to avoid parking in restricted areas and are stacked only in the designated places to guarantee a soft traffic flow.
Traffic updates will be available through the Rasta and Rasta application FM 88.6 for public awareness.
The Lahore Traffic Police has assured that the event will not cause significant interruptions to everyday travelers, and citizens are encouraged to follow traffic guidelines for an experience without problems.
