After the future of their franchise ruled against their NBA Cup home court, the Los Angeles Lakers were forced to make a last-minute change on Friday.

All 30 NBA teams change their courts to give them a more decorative look for NBA Cup games throughout the regular season, but there have been numerous complaints since it began.

Doncic’s claim was substantial, as coaches deemed the NBA Cup court the Lakers use unplayable for Friday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, the team said via ESPN. Therefore, the game will be played on the Lakers’ normal playing surface.
