It has been a while since Arizona’s cardinals were a legitimate threat of the NFL, since it was the last time the playoffs in 2021.
After that season, the cardinals had 4-13 in consecutive seasons before finally improving 8-9 for the 2024 NFL season, and now they sit in 2-2.
Larry Fitzgerald retired after the 2020 season, and three years later, the organization selected Marvin Harrison Jr. with the fourth general selection. When the son of the Hall of Fame left the University, it was widely expected that if someone replied the Fitzgerald’s Pro Bowl numbers, it would be Harrison.
But it has not gone as planned.

In 21 games played, he has eclipsed the 100 -yard mark only twice. However, it has a special skill for the annotation zone, averaging a touchdown in almost any other game, and Fitzgerald believes it will be, and it is fine.
“When I was in the state of Ohio, you know, I had a lot of first round selections that were with him there, so he did not have to carry the water all the time alone. He was the best player, but he also had a really strong support cast. And, you know, he left and went a little in the number one position, right?” Fitzgerald told Pak Gazette Digital in a recent interview.

The noise was noisy after Harrison had problems earlier last week, but finally ended with six trapped for 66 yards and a touchdown in a strong 23-20 defeat against the Seattle Seahawks.

Those same comparisons mentioned above can be said of Kyler Murray, who was the first general selection in 2019. But, like Harrison, Fitzgerald is happy with what he has seen of his own former field marshal.
“I think he has improved a lot. This is his seventh year, he has definitely taken another step. He has made some wonderful releases. He makes some great releases, and I just want to see that he continues to take those next steps as the leader of the organization,” said Fitzgerald.
“You are always comparing it with other people in similar situations. But look at the numbers, when it is healthy, it produces. Is it the same as Justin Herbert or Joe Burrow or Josh Allen? You can quickly throw the deep ball, can you throw the intermediate ball, you can throw it to the left, throw it well.
The cards have a right-wing game against the 0-4 Tennessee Titans, and one cannot blame Fitzgerald for throwing some dollars into his former team this weekend. Fitzgerald is a draftkings partner to run the voice on the responsible games.

Draftkings currently has the cardinals in +1900 to win the NFC West, with much the worst probabilities of anyone. The Los Angeles Rams are +115, the San Francisco 49ers are +180 and the Seattle Seahawks are +370.

But the legend of the cardinals trusts that the helpless can come out at the top.
“It is a very difficult division, there are no easy victories out there, but the cardinals are in each game they compete. I mean, they have lost for six points combined in the two losses they have had. It is not as if they were taken to the carpentry,” he said. “I think it is just starting quickly and having that sustained offensive production, because the defense has done a good job.”
