- Rumored prices have emerged for RTX 5060 Ti 8GB and 16GB models
- The good news is that we should not see a price increase with these GPUs.
- However, we will not see the fall of MSRP, since Nvidia apparently plans to stick to the same prices seen with the RTX 4060 Ti models
It seems that Nvidia will adhere to its price guns with the RTX 5060 ti and that the two flavors of this graphics card will cost almost the same as the existing models of RTX 4060 TI.
Videocardz pointed out a publication in the Board Channels forum (a regular source of supply chain leaks in China) that describes the details of rumored prices, but is obviously very skeptical here.
The containment, and take into account the possible translation wrinkles (the original publication is in Chinese), is that the RTX 5060 TI is ‘estimated’ to have a price ‘similar’ to the RTX 4060 TI models. Although later in the publication, he speaks of having the same price for these GPUs, so the general environment is that price labels will be identical or very close to RTX 5060 TI models.
The Vid has insisted for a long time that NVIDIA will produce the RTX 5060 TI in two turns, with 8 GB and 16 GB of video RAM, just like the existing RTX 4060 TIs.
The MSRP or the recommended price for the RTX 4060 TI 8GB is $ 399 (in the USA) and for the 16 GB version it is $ 499, so the guest here is that the RTX 5060 you will follow its example.
Or maybe, if we are lucky, we could see a small decrease, but the filter seems to think that the new Blackwell equivalents of these most affordable GPUs (in relation to the rest of the range) will be more or less the same. So, if there is any difference, it will be less.
ANALYSIS: Better plans placed?
It is worth reiterating the advice to accumulate skepticism here, since the channels of the Board are not always the most reliable source in my experience, but said that, I would not call it unreliable either. The somewhat vague language in the publication also pauses thought, although that could be wrapped in translation problems to some extent.
Taking into account Nvidia’s philosophy with the price of Blackwell so far, I certainly do not expect an increase. Mainly since RTX 5070 was left with the same price as RTX 4070, and in fact, the RTX 5080 fell well versus its predecessor (and the RTX 5070 TI was submerged slightly). The RTX 5090 was the atypical value in the sense that its MSRP was obtained considerably, and it has risen therefore at very high levels, but there are reasons for those that do not apply to other Blackwell GPUs (that is, its crossing with the world of AI graphics cards).
To stick to the same price scheme as rumored here seems quite likely, since NVIDIA (theoretically) has the identical problem that the Lovelace generation faces in which the XX60 Ti class model with 16 GB of VRM actually has more memory than the XX70 higher level model that is equipped with 12GB, and the firm presuppulates that the prison is felt to the buyers of the buyers of the buyers of the last time. That perception of being of change with 12 GB also feels even more in this new generation of Nvidia graphics cards.
In short, I think this sounds like a probable price plan, although it can be that: the current plan. In other words, the rumor factory could be correct in its statement here, and Nvidia may be considering this exact price scheme at this time, but Team Green could still have a last minute heart change. Hopefully it is for better, if this happens, and we could see a slight reduction in the prices of these more affordable Blackwell GPUs.
Can you say that I am not convinced? Well, as long as we do not see an elevation in prices, that’s the main thing. But given the situation of Nvidia with the goodwill of the players these days, or the lack of it since it began this year, I really do not see how the company could consider a walk with its RTX 5060 models. However, I suppose that the strangest things have happened (‘decelerate’ a GPU comes to mind).
These RTX 5060 graphics cards are expected to arrive soon, in the middle of the month, in fact, on April 16 (with a rumored revelation for the previous day, April 15). Nor is there a talk about the RTX 5060 price here, which seems to support the notion that the vanilla GPU is later due, in mid -May, although it could also be revealed on April 15 (perhaps without prices). Again, Chuck about seasoning generously, but there is no shortage of clues and rumors that these graphics cards are close to launching.
