- Horizonos V76 has launched to the public trial channel
- This beta launch is mocking the new target fetaures is working
- In future updates we can expect important user interface and Windows changes
Goal has just launched the Horizonos V76 update to its public trial channel, and the Beta software is already mocking some massive changes on how you can use its target Quest 3 headphones to socialize virtually.
First, Meta is placing its Horizon Avatera Front and Center in video calls, finally unlocking the Selfie Chamber, a feature that first joked in Meta Connect 2022. He could previously take zoom meetings of his virtual work space, but with the V76 update, he can use his Avatar goal in more calls of casual video through WhatsApp and Messenger.

In the configuration, you can see your selfie camera options to adjust how narrow or wide is the virtual camera, and you can select a static background that will appear behind your character.
Then, when you bind to video calls while using your headphones, other people will see that your avatar moves as it moves. However, people who have tried the development tool say that it is still limited.
The “development” is definitely the key description here, since Selfie Cam still feels very limited, so it could happen a little before it reaches the broader public launch of horizons.
In addition, when it does, goal could move it to be an ‘experimental characteristic’, which is a designation given to the characteristics that are available in the complete launch of Horizons, but that could still be a bit Buggy.
The chains in Quest/Horizon OS V76 PTC suggest that goal is working on the ability to share Windows with other users in Horizon Home (and possibly worlds). This will probably work similar to SharePlay on Visisses. pic.twitter.com/zudymm05xjMarch 22, 2025
Update V76 in the PTC also hides the details about the ability to share your screen with other target quest users.
The feature is not yet live, but the code chains (discovered by Luna) suggest that the 2D windows panels will obtain a ‘share’ and ‘unleashed’ button so you can show other people in Horizon Home or Horizon Worlds (and perhaps other multiplayer applications) what you are seeing in your browser.
The Quest 3 already has the ability to capture the YouTube content, and this launch seems like a more general deployment of that characteristic to measure so that other 2D applications can be shared.
Given its current status in the PTC update, screen exchange could be an update or two away. However, when it arrives, a massive review of the user interface could be joined.
The code name ‘Navigator’ Luna shared a brief five -second clip of a tutorial for the new design, which put demo’d in Connect 2024.

Luna added that it is expected to fall in V77 or later, so it is still a launch or two from the launch, but these first suggestions suggest that the launch of this review is approaching.
We will have to wait and see if this review of the user interface is what Quest 3 has been needing all the time or one of those terrible changes that will make us beg to the goal that we put everything again as it was.
From what we have seen, it should be the first, but we will not know until the Navigator user interface is available for everyone to prove it (hopefully at the end of this year).
