There’s a new Samsung Galaxy S26 leak to talk about, and it looks like the standard model of the 2026 flagship series will be slimmer than its predecessor, and will also include a wireless charging upgrade.
The leak comes from the usually reliable @UniverseIce and shows a schematic representation of the Galaxy S26. The phone is expected to succeed the Samsung Galaxy S25 sometime in the first few months of next year.
According to this unverified information, the Galaxy S26 will measure 6.9 mm from front to back. That beats the 7.2mm thickness of the Samsung Galaxy S25, although we don’t yet know the other dimensions of the upcoming phone.
Samsung has been making its phones increasingly thinner as of late. Earlier this year we saw the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, which is just 5.8mm thick (although not as thin as the 5.6mm iPhone Air).
Wireless charging
The most notable feature in this render is the Qi2 charging coil, suggesting that Samsung’s upcoming smartphones will support full Qi2 wireless charging, as will the Google Pixel 10 phones (where the feature is called Pixelsnap).
Previous Samsung phones were Qi2-ready, meaning you need a case to get the full Qi2 experience—specifically, wireless chargers that magnetically snap to the back of your phone, much like the MagSafe technology on the best iPhones.
We can also see three rear cameras on the back of the Galaxy S26, although it is not yet clear what the specifications of these cameras could be. Apparently a vertical tablet design will be implemented, similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
While the Galaxy S25 phones debuted in January 2025, all indications are that next year’s equivalents won’t appear until February or March. A report from South Korea suggested that the launch event could take place on Wednesday, February 25.
