Lawyer Saif dismisses reports of 100 deaths due to medicine shortage in Kurram


Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Saif has denied reports that 100 children have died due to shortage of medicines in Kurram district and termed these reports as baseless and fabricated.

According to Express News, he clarified that all necessary medicines are being delivered daily in Kurram district and highlighted that some disturbing elements are trying to mislead the public by spreading false information about a shortage of medicines leading to the death of children. He assured that these claims are completely unfounded.

Earlier, some local media outlets had reported that a protest in Parachinar, which had continued for six days due to road blockades, had led to the death of more than 100 children due to lack of access to medical facilities.

Lawyer Saif reiterated that the KP government prioritizes the safety and well-being of its citizens and the establishment of lasting peace in the region. He appealed to the public to refrain from believing such fabricated and misleading news.

The information advisor further stated that the government is ensuring that all essential services and needs in Kurram district are met on priority basis.
