Islamabad:
The leadership of the country, including President Asif Ali Zarari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, strongly condemned the terrorist attack against Jaffar Express in Baluchistan and appreciated security forces for their effective and timely response.
The president praised the value of the security forces to rescue Jaffar Express passengers and said that attacks against innocent civilians and passengers were inhuman and condemnable acts. The president said that neither a religion nor a society allowed such disgusting acts.
The Baloch nation firmly opposed those elements that had taken passengers, the elderly and unheated children, said, according to a press release from the press wing of the President of the President. The president prayed for the early recovery of those who suffered wounds during the attack.
Prime Minister Shehbaz, according to a separate press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media wing, said the officers and security forces were eliminating the terrorists bravely during the current response.
“Despite difficult land, the moral of security forces is high and are going back to cowardly terrorists with their timely action,” said Shehbaz. He expressed the hope that the security operation will soon meet with success and the terrorists would be eliminated.
Shehbaz said that the inhuman terrorists, who launched the cowardly assault on Jaffar Express, in Dhadhar-Bolan Pass deserved no concession. “Terrorists are the enemies of progress and development of the province of Baluchistan,” he said.
“The orientation of innocent passengers in the holy and blessed month of Ramazanul Mubarak clearly demonstrates that terrorists are not related to Islam, Pakistan and Baluchistan,” he added. He averaged that the fight against terrorism would continue until the complete eradication of this spectrum of the country.
Any conspiracy to spread chaos and illegality in the country would be frustrated, he continued, emphasizing that the government would never allow the enemies of the nation to succeed in their dire designs. “In this fight against terrorism, the whole nation is shoulder shoulder with security forces.”
Previously, addressing that federal cabinet meeting, Shehbaz expanded in a resurgence of terrorism in the country and acknowledged that the agencies of application of the law (read) together with the armed forces were making great sacrifices daily that needed to be remembered.
“Without a complete peace, the dream of development and prosperity is difficult to achieve. The brave staff of the police, the armed forces and the rangers are providing final sacrifices and the nation will have to remember it,” said the prime minister.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the incident, saying: “The beasts that shoot in innocent passengers do not deserve any concession.” The Interior Minister of Sindh, Ziaul Hassan Lanjar, also firmly condemned the incident.
“The atrocious plans of the anti -national and antisocial elements will never be allowed to be allowed,” he said in a statement. “The Sindh government meets the Baluchistan government. I expected the police and others to put this situation under control.
The president of the Senate, Yousuf Raza Gilani, and the president of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, said in his separate statements that those aimed at innocent civilians were not only enemies of the nation but of humanity itself.
They firmly condemned the cowardly attempt to undermine the country’s peace and stability and emphasized that such antistatal elements would be firmly and decisively treated. They said that the evil designs of the enemies would be frustrated.
“The attack on passengers in Dhadar is a crime against humanity and those responsible must be seriously punished.” Gilani said. “Terrorists cannot shake the national resolution with such cowardly acts. The nation is united and the bad intentions of the enemies will be crushed,” he added.
He reaffirmed his full support for security forces and requested effective measures to eliminate elements that seek to destabilize the country. “The nation remains in solidarity with the families of the passengers during this difficult time,” he added.
The former president of the Senate, Sadiq Sanjrani, also firmly condemned Jaffer Express’ attack, saying that attacking passengers unarmed during the sacred month was a cowardly act. “The government and security forces are working for the safe return of the hostages,” said Sanjrani.
Baluchistan’s prime minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, confirmed that pressure was being maintained on the militants. “Total efforts are being made to guarantee the unharmed recovery of each passenger. Security forces are tirelessly working to control the situation,” he said in a statement.
